Made from ungrafted vines, Bollinger's Vieilles Vignes Francaises is one of the noble rarities of Champagne.
The 2004 VVF was made in miniscule quantities from two parcels of ungrafted pinot noir vines in Aÿ, plus a small part from ungrafted vines in Bouzy. This is the last vintage the Bouzy wine was included, as the vines were dying. Hopefully the Aÿ vines will not suffer the same fate. A 97-point rating from Richard Juhlin.
