Over the past three decades, Alessandro Masnaghetti has revolutionized the craft of mapping wine regions, bringing an previously unimagined level of research and detail to this emerging art.

It’s with good reason, Alessandro’s wine maps have been called the greatest ever created ... anywhere ... at any time.

Now, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of his illustrious career, we’re thrilled to present, exclusively for the United States:

The Double Trilogy
three maps each of Château d’Yquem
and Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia)
in a one-of-a-kind box set
Limited to 150 signed, numbered copies.
$195 + shipping

These six highly collectible maps have been printed on the finest Japanese paper, gathered in an elegant slipcase and specially created to commemorate the first maps he drew in 1994.

These are true rarities. Only 150 sets have been created, and all were hand-assembled and signed by Alessandro.

Perfect for wine enthusiasts and map collectors, at $195 for the complete set of 6 these are not only an ideal gift, but a bargain at that.

And for those who would prefer to only purchase one or two of the maps, individual hand-signed copies are available at $65 each. These are identical in all respects except they are not numbered.

The Double Trilogy

This incredible set includes 6 maps devoted to two properties that have written the history of wine in Italy, in France, in the world: Château d’Yquem and Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia). Both sets of maps are unprecedented in the information they provide:

Chateau D'Yquem

Grape Varieties:  The vineyards of Château d’Yquem are shown in unprecedented detail, drawn plot by plot and colored according to the grape varieties grown.

Soils: This features the soils of Château d’Yquem, using information provided directly by the property.

Lieux Dits: The term “lieux-dits” is for many synonymous with Burgundy, but they are also used in Bordeaux, where they are sometimes officially delimited, as they are at Yquem. This map allows us to discover, for the first time, the lieux-dits of his historic property.

Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia)

Vineyards: The vineyards of the legendary Tenuta San Guido divided by poderi (farms) following the estate’s internal traditions.

Grape Varieties: San Guido’s vineyards divided by grape variety.

Historical Place Names: The historical place names of Tenuta San Guido as the result of meticulous research in the Ferdinandeo-Leopoldine land registry.

Each map is printed on 17.3 x 26.8 inch Takeo Vent Nouveau 320 gr acid free paper, and in exceptional high-definition 15k quality. (The Vent Nouveau series of fine papers was created under the supervision of designer and architect Kijuro Yahagi. Founded in 1899, Takeo is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality premium papers.)

Please note that they will ship flat, in a sturdy black case (pictured above). Not rolled or folded, they are ready for framing.

*Expected arrival March/April 2025.
